WEAVE:

THE SOCIAL FABRIC PROJECT

Building trust in communities through the power of story.

We had the distinct pleasure of working with the non-profit organization Weave: The Social Fabric Project to document a nearly year-long initiative focused on strengthening community ties, building meaningful new connections, and supporting local educators through direct funding. This project centered on the idea that communities thrive when relationships are nurtured—when trust is built intentionally, stories are shared openly, and people feel empowered to contribute to the world around them.

Throughout the process, our team was tasked with capturing more than just the milestones of the program—we were responsible for telling the deeper story behind the work Weave was doing and highlighting the real impact it was having at the local level. In addition to documenting the organization’s mission and outreach, we also focused on the awardees themselves: the educators, community leaders, and changemakers who are actively building stronger networks within their neighborhoods and creating spaces where people feel seen, heard, and supported.

Over the course of the project, we followed Weave through a series of thoughtfully organized gatherings and community-centered events designed to encourage participation and connection. These moments were paired with story-driven presentations that showcased the purpose of the initiative, the people behind it, and the values that guide the work. The experience culminated in a fully realized award ceremony that celebrated the recipients and provided them with resources to further their individual projects—helping transform their ideas into tangible, community-serving realities.

By working closely with the Weave team, we were able to create a collection of meaningful media assets that reflect both the heart of the organization and the outcomes of the program. These deliverables not only serve as a record of the initiative’s progress, but also provide Weave with powerful storytelling tools they can use to share their mission, inspire future participants, and continue building trust and connection throughout the community.

MINI-DOCUMENTARY

A major part of this project was producing a short documentary that showcased Weave’s work in the community and the broader impact it was creating. Through interviews with key individuals from Weave and The Aspen Institute, along with local awardees, we captured the story in their own words—highlighting the people, purpose, and real outcomes behind the initiative.

AWARDEE PROFILE VIDEoS

In addition to the documentary, we produced three shorter videos featuring select Weave awardees. Each participant sat down with our team to share how the award funding would directly support their work, helping move their ideas forward and strengthen the community initiatives they’re leading.

PORTRAITS

We were tasked with capturing professional portraits of not only the awardees, but the community leaders who helped guide applicants through the submission process and champion the mission of Weave: The Social Fabric Project. These portraits helped highlight the people behind the work and gave the organization strong visual assets to support ongoing outreach and storytelling.

EVENT COVERAGE: STILLS & VIDEO

Throughout the course of the year, we captured stills and video across multiple community events tied to Weave to visually support the mission and to help promote the project as a whole. Below is a gallery featuring selected stills from that work.
