Living Life on the East Coast
"What do you want to do? When we finally got down to something which the individual says he really wants to do, I will say to him, you do that and forget the money. If you say that getting the money is the most important thing, you'll spend your life completely wasting your time. You'll be doing things you don't like doing in order to go on living that is to go on doing things you don't like doing. Which is stupid. That is absolutely stupid. Better to have a short life that is full of what you like doing, than a long life spent in a miserable way..." - The Incredible True Story
It’s still morning I suppose. Late morning – 11:45am. I’m just hanging out here at the studio, or “The Manor” as I like to call it sometimes. It’s empty again, besides myself. But that’ll be short lived today.
I’m exporting a music video we produced for Automatic Fantastic and looking forward to sharing that with everyone, and we’ll be recording some music later on this afternoon, with singer/songwriters Emma Averi and Summer Rose. Pretty stoked about that as well.
It’s been almost two weeks since I had my fall. Tomorrow will make it a full two weeks. I’m feeling pretty good now, all healed up. Well, mostly. My back is still a little sore, but my face has recovered exquisitely. My mental state has appropriately been rearranged, and my perception perfectly skewed.
I just wanted to check in and say that I’m doing much better, and I appreciate the hard knocks life has given me. If you’ve had some, you should too. They’re lessons and insights in them that money can’t buy and teachers can’t teach. They’re gifts that should be examined and held in the highest of regard.
Have a lovely day,
